EVALUATION: Question 3
What kind of media institution might distribute your media
product and why?
Whilst conducting research within my pre-production process
of my magazine, I came across different institutions which I think would be
likely to distribute my final music magazine. The main institution that I think
may publish my music magazine are NBM Publishing Ltd. The reason why I this is because
of the fact that they focus on the music industry and they have already
published well established music magazines. An example of one of these being Echoes. This is a music magazine which
focuses on jazz, hip-hop, R&B and aspects of Reggae. This magazine is very
similar to my own with regards to the genres which it focuses on as mine
centres around Reggae and R&B, therefore the themes match perfectly.
As well as this, the company are a very small and intimate
group of around 1-10 employees. Due to this fact Echoes is only distributed once a month. This is very suitable as I
aim to have my magazine on a monthly subscription so by using NBM Publishing Ltd.
I am adhering to all my needs and wants.
